Chapter Sponsors are the representatives and mentors of the Institute for Cultural Communicators whose vision is to empower next generation Christian coaches, parents, and students in their local community group, an ICC chapter, to influence today’s culture. Sponsors connect the local chapter community with the global ICC community.
For a chapter to form, a certified Chapter Sponsor is needed and at least 7 students from 3 families must enroll.
role
Coordinates the activity and development of a chapter of the Institute. Serves as a point person and mentor as they lead the families/students in their chapter on their journeys to get ready to speak.
Recommended Prerequisites
- Attended an ICC event within the past 12 months.
- Be the parent of a student age 11+
- Completed Coaching with Success AND Vision Led Volunteer (returning sponsors may choose another training option)
Commitments
- Use ICC’s chapter curriculum, the Navigator.
- Complete annual sponsor certification
- Agree to Statement of Faith
- Accountability to region’s Growth Coach
- Serving in the Sponsor role for one year
- Attend the monthly Accelerator with peer Chapter Sponsors
- Events
- Work with a regional team to support ICCFS, training events, and local guild inductions.
- Attend regional events to develop competence and vision.
- Speak on the platform as an ICC representative as opportunities arise.

- Build an intergenerational chapter team with both student leaders and adults.
- Articulate ICC mission and answer questions for those new to ICC.
- Serve as the initial contact for potential new members.
- Recommend chapter student leaders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Respond to emails using iccinc.org account.
ELIGIBILITY
- Parent of a member student age 11+
- Attend an ICC conference in the past 12 months
- Complete a background check (U.S.) and Child Safety Training
- Complete annual Volunteer Certification
- Affirm our Terms and Agreements
Building a Chapter
3 Families / 7 Students Minimum
We know that the success of a chapter depends on learning with a community, beginning with at least 3 families with 7 students.
A Chapter Sponsor’s next step, after becoming certified, will be to identify the members.
First, you’ll have a conversation with the families interested in your chapter to see if they agree to continue or to join.
Next, after filling out the application form for your role as Chapter Sponsor, you’ll be sent a form where you will name the minimum 7 students and 3 families, as well as your choice for gathering (in-person or online).

Every sponsor needs a team. We go together because we’re better together!
A chapter team consists of all chapter parents, all students, and a sponsor.
A chapter with 20 or more members requires a certified Assistant Sponsor.
An regional team consists of a Growth Coach and a Student Leader Success Coach.
Global leaders and teams are also here to support chapters in specific areas, like Student Leadership or People Care.
